1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Symphony OS, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use Symphony OS.
2. Description of Service
Symphony OS is a personal operating system for managing work, personal life, and family activities. The service provides:
- Task and project management
- Calendar integration with Google Calendar
- Routine and habit tracking
- Family sharing and collaboration features
- Note-taking and information capture
- Contact management
3. Account Registration and Security
To use Symphony OS, you must:
- Create an account using Google authentication
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Maintain the security of your Google account
- Be at least 13 years of age
You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Symphony OS only for lawful purposes. You will not:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights
- Transmit viruses, malware, or harmful code
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Symphony OS systems
- Use Symphony OS to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Scrape, copy, or reverse engineer the service
- Use automated systems to access Symphony OS without permission
5. Google Calendar Integration
When you connect your Google Calendar:
- You grant Symphony OS permission to read and modify your calendar events
- You can revoke this permission at any time through Settings or your Google Account
- Symphony OS will respect your Google Calendar data according to our Privacy Policy
- You remain responsible for the accuracy of calendar events
6. Family Sharing
If you use family sharing features:
- You are responsible for inviting only trusted family members
- Shared data becomes visible to all household members you invite
- Each family member must have their own Symphony OS account
- You can remove family members from your household at any time
7. Your Content
You retain all rights to the content you create in Symphony OS (tasks, notes, projects, etc.). By using Symphony OS, you grant us:
- A license to store, process, and display your content to provide the service
- Permission to make backups of your content for service reliability
- The right to use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the service
We do not claim ownership of your content and will not use it for purposes beyond providing and improving Symphony OS.
8. Service Availability
We strive to provide reliable service, but:
- Symphony OS is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service
- We may perform maintenance that temporarily affects availability
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue features with notice
Recommendation: While we implement robust backups, we encourage you to export important data periodically.
9. Beta Features and Early Access
Symphony OS may include beta features or early access functionality:
- Beta features may be unstable or incomplete
- We may change or remove beta features without notice
- Beta features are provided for testing purposes
10. Fees and Payment
Symphony OS is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future:
- We will provide clear pricing information
- Existing users will receive advance notice of any pricing changes
- You can choose whether to subscribe to paid features
11. Termination
Your Rights: You may stop using Symphony OS at any time and request account deletion by contacting support@symphony-os.com.
Our Rights: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms
- Engage in fraudulent or harmful activity
- Fail to respond to security concerns
We will provide notice before termination unless legally prohibited or in cases of severe abuse.
12. Data Export and Deletion
Upon account termination:
- You may request a copy of your data before deletion
- We will delete your personal data within 30 days
- Some anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics
- Backups may persist for up to 90 days for disaster recovery
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Symphony OS is provided "as is" without warranties
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the past 12 months
- We are not responsible for data loss (though we implement robust backups)
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Symphony OS from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of Symphony OS
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
15. Intellectual Property
Symphony OS, including its code, design, and branding, is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:
- Copy, modify, or distribute Symphony OS code or assets
- Use Symphony OS trademarks without permission
- Create derivative works based on Symphony OS
16. Third-Party Services
Symphony OS integrates with third-party services (Google Calendar, etc.). You are responsible for complying with their terms of service. We are not responsible for third-party service availability or changes.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.
18. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes:
- We will notify you via email or in-app notification
- Changes become effective 30 days after notification
- Continued use after changes indicates acceptance
19. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of [Your State/Jurisdiction].
